Do the waste scan

Paper and cardboard

At Kempenaars Recycling, we specialise in the management of paper and cardboard streams from companies and households. We offer flexible collection options tailored to your specific needs.

State-of-the-art and innovative

Our process is characterised by a state-of-the-art sorting line, which has been equipped with advanced infrared scanners since 2023. This technology allows us to sort paper more accurately into different grades, which is essential for recycling into new paper. We are proud to have one of the few advanced sorting lines of this kind in the Netherlands.

Flexible collection options

We offer flexible collection options tailored to our customers’ specific needs. You can deliver your commercial paper and cardboard waste yourself, or we can collect it for you. Our collaboration with other waste collectors strengthens our ability to provide exceptional service by using our expertise in the sector.

Transparency comes first

At Kempenaars, transparency is one of our top priorities. This also applies to our pricing, which is linked as much as possible to independent market prices published monthly. Our aim is always to give you a clear understanding of the cost, which is a combination of transport costs, rent and a market rate for the streams to be recycled.

Contributing to environmental objectives

We understand the importance of sustainability and are committed to not only collecting paper and cardboard but also giving these materials a new life as high-quality recycled paper. This is how we contribute to reducing CO2 emissions.

Premium Quality

When you choose Kempenaars Recycling, you choose quality. Our calibrated weighbridge ensures accurate measurements and fair processing. With our expertise and advanced technology, we significantly contribute to making the paper and board industry more sustainable.

For us, circularity is more than a concept, it is a daily reality.

Frequently asked questions

.

We have paper/cardboard, can you pick it up?

Sure, we can pick this up and process it. Feel free to contact us so we can tell you more about the possibilities.

What is the cost of paper disposal?

The cost of disposing of paper depends on several factors: quantity, type of container, etc. To keep this as transparent as possible, we combine transportation and rental with any revenues. The fee is calculated based on current raw material prices. Want to know more? Feel free to contact us.

How is the paper processed?

This is done in various ways. For example, after collection, fur paper is sorted. We do this using a fully automated sorting line including infrared scanners. Another way of processing is making bales of cardboard. Despite the different processing methods, the goal is always the same: to process collected recycling streams into the highest quality secondary raw material possible in order to make new paper rolls and contribute to a circular economy.

Can you also help me collect and process confidential paper?

For this we cooperate with third parties. If you would like to have confidential paper collected, we will be happy to look for the appropriate partner to solve your problem. Please contact us without obligation.

What is allowed and not allowed in household paper?

Waste paper must be clean and dry. Clean and dry means that the waste paper is largely free of product residues, liquids and materials other than paper. Small material parts, such as plastic tape or windows, or light stains or dry food residues after shaking out a package do not disrupt the recycling process and may be added to the waste paper.

The presence of contaminating elements in the waste paper reduces the possibility of making new paper from it. PRN identifies various types of contamination in the waste paper flow, including moisture, foreign contamination, product-specific contamination, ink, and wet strength agents.

The Scheidingswijzer tells you what may and may not be thrown in the waste paper bin.

What can be put in the cardboard?

Yes: separated, clean and dry cardboard that is free of contamination. Such as cardboard boxes, plates and packaging.

No: contaminated cardboard, such as cardboard that is contaminated with grease, oil, paint, glue residue, sticker material or polystyrene.
