Where waste paper and cardboard are concerned, we see a trend that started a few months ago and which we reported on in good time, continuing. European factories are slowing down their orders and pushing down prices. We expect that demand from Europe will not return until mid-January next year.
In export, the price pressure is not much different, but there is a positive effect noticeable there caused by the American elections. After all, the American dollar has strengthened against the Euro to such an extent that export prices are currently significantly better than in Europe.
Fortunately, with our alliances and network, we are in a comfortable position that we can switch and change quickly and effectively. As a result, we do not have to be confronted with stocks due to the reduced demand in Europe by now selling more in export.
